Northeast Refugio

In 1999 Pipeline Resources acquired several leases, totaling 2570 acres, which combined creating the Northeast Refugio prospect. In that same year, an extensive 3-D seismic shoot of the entire leased area began.

In 2001, the first Northeast Refugio well was successfully drilled. The well count on the Northeast Refugio is now thirty-three. The latest, the M. Scanio 23, successfully drilled in January, 2010. Total monthly production exceeds 12000 barrels of oil (BO) and 25 million cubic feet (MMcf) of gas. Active exploration continues using subsurface geology paired with 3-D seismic data. Three additional wells are scheduled for drilling in 2010.
