Gray & Middlebrook

Fort Bend County, Texas

The Gray lease, located in Fort Bend County , was acquired in 1992 for the purpose of exploring the many Frio sands known to be prolific producers in the area. Pipeline Resources acquired the 120 acres and drilled one development well on the lease. The well initially came on as a gas well, but was quickly converted to a successful oil well. Since 1992, procedures have been performed to maintain sand control and the well is currently flowing at a rate of 30 barrels of oil per day (BOPD).

Shortly after acquiring the Gray lease, Pipeline Resources also acquired a neighboring 320 acres known as the Middlebrook lease.

The Gray and Middlebrook project now includes nine wells, the Farmer #4R; Middlebrook #2; Gray #2; Middlebrook #3; Middlebrook-Kulcak #1; Middlebrook #2P; Middlebrook #1; Middlebrook #2P; and Kulcak-Ziesember #1. The Farmer #4 and Middlebrook #2 were converted to salt water disposal wells. Two wells are shut-in/awaiting recompletion. Monthly production currently exceeds 1600 BO.
