Henderson & Pickering
Victoria 1996-III
In 2001 Pipeline Resources acquired the Henderson & Pickering lease, located in Victoria County . The lease was acquired in order to develop the East Placedo Field. The East Placedo Field, a multi-pay field, had numerous sands that are known to be productive in this area. Of particular interest were several Miocene and upper Frio sands, which were further studied after 3-D seismic was performed on the lease.
In 2004 the first test well, the Henderson-Pickering #1, was drilled and although it did not encounter the seismic anomaly we had targeted, we did find gas in paying quantities. Initial flow rates had the well producing 150 MMCF per day. At present the well production is down and we are evaluating further development of this lease.
