Shelton Heirs
Pipeline Resources participated in the acquisition of the Shelton Heirs lease in 2004 as an extension to the proven and producing Vandenberg & Hill lease. The Shelton Heirs is comprised of 850 acres and is located in Victoria County, Texas and adjoins the aforementioned Vandenberg & Hill lease. By utilizing the drilling and 3-D seismic data gained from operations on the Vandenberg & Hill lease, studies of the Shelton Heirs lease began. Our research concluded that indeed many of the reservoirs present in the original lease were in fact present in this newly acquired lease.
At present, Pipeline Resources have drilled two or three successful wells on the Shelton Heirs, all of which have encountered commercial quantities of oil and gas. The lease is currently producing 125 MMCF per day and 10 BOPD. However, the best zones in the existing wellbores have yet to be perforated. A new well will be drilled on the property in the last half of 2005. Geologic information gained from the existing wellbores leads us to believe that the next well drilled on the property has the potential to be the best well drilled thus far.
