 Gray & Middlebrook
The Gray lease, located in Fort Bend County , was acquired in 1992 for the purpose of exploring the many Frio sands known to be prolific producers in the area. Pipeline acquired the 120 acres and drilled one development well on the lease. The well initially came on as a gas well, but was quickly converted to a successful oil well. Since 1992, procedures have been performed to maintain sand control and the well is currently flowing at a rate of 30 BOPD.
Shortly after acquiring the Gray lease, Pipeline Resources also acquired a neighboring 320 acres known as the Middlebrook lease. Since that time three wells have been successfully drilled; in which all featured the presence of the Frio sands. At present the lease is producing 95 BOPD.
